Fighter Box Office: Hrithik Roshan Starrer Witnesses Drop in Numbers on First Tuesday |

The box office numbers of ‘Fighter,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, saw a noticeable drop on its sixth day of release. After a dip in numbers on its first Monday, the film continued its downward trend on Tuesday, registering an advance collection of Rs 24 lakh, according to early estimates reported on Sacnilk.com.
Despite the anticipated decline over the working week, ‘Fighter’ was expected to maintain a stronghold at the box office due to the considerable hype surrounding the film. Director Siddharth Anand had announced over the weekend that the film had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark during its first extended weekend.

The patriotic action drama, released on Thursday ahead of the 75th Republic Day, reported an estimated collection of Rs 30.20 crore on Sunday, bringing its four-day-long weekend total to Rs 123.60 crore. The film earned Rs 24.60 crore on its opening day, witnessed growth on the second day with a collection of Rs 41.20 crore, and maintained steady numbers with Rs 27.60 crore on the third day. With positive buzz, ‘Fighter’ collected Rs 30.20 crore on the fourth day.

Trade reports indicated that the film garnered an estimated Rs 8 crore on Monday, pushing its total collection to Rs 126 crore. The film’s performance on Tuesday remains to be seen, but based on the current trend, it is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark in its second weekend.

Internationally, ‘Fighter’ has comfortably surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark. Released across 23 territories, the film recorded a $24.5 million worldwide weekend, with $20.8 million earned in international territories. Including Thursday numbers, the film achieved a worldwide cumulative collection of $25.1 million, as per ComScore data.

In North America, ‘Fighter’ collected $3.7 million over the three-day weekend and $4.3 million over four days.
‘Fighter’ revolves around the Indian Air Force and depicts Indian conflicts with Pakistan. The movie’s global collections were hampered partly because of the ban on the movie in the Middle East, which is a huge market for Indian films.
