Quordle FAQs: Everything you need to know

What is Quordle?
Quordle presents you with four puzzles to solve, unlike Wordle, which challenges you to guess a new five-letter word each day. The puzzles in Quordle are solved simultaneously, and you have nine guesses instead of six. The rules are similar to Wordle, and it can be played online via the Quordle website or the Merriam-Webster site. The answers are the same for all players, making it a global competition. The puzzle resets daily at midnight in your timezone, and the website offers practice mode, stats, streak counts, and achievements.

What are the Quordle rules?
The rules of Quordle are almost identical to those of Wordle:
1. Green letters indicate correct letters in the right place.
2. Yellow letters indicate correct letters in the wrong place.
3. Gray letters indicate incorrect letters.
4. Each guess is reflected in all quadrants of the puzzle simultaneously.
5. Plural answers are not accepted.
6. Letters can appear more than once.
7. Guesses must be valid words in Quordle’s dictionary.
8. Subsequent guesses don’t have to include correct letters, and there is no Hard mode like in Wordle.
9. You have nine guesses to find the Quordle answers.
10. The daily Quordle must be completed before midnight in your timezone.

What is a good Quordle strategy?
Quordle requires a strategic approach to increase your chances of winning. Here are two key strategies to remember:
1. Use multiple starting words: Instead of relying on a single starting word, choose two or three starting words. Opt for the best starting word for Wordle, along with other words that use common consonants and any remaining vowels. For example, STARE > DOILY > PUNCH uses 15 different letters, including all five vowels and common consonants. Get creative with your starting words to gain an advantage in identifying the answers.
2. Narrow down your options: If you face…
