Here’s why you might happily pay more for the iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro is currently available with a base storage of 128GB, but rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro will offer even more storage options. There are speculations that the iPhone 15 Pro will come in a 2TB variant. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared his thoughts on these storage leaks, suggesting that this potential increase in storage is tied to a potential price hike.
The starting price for the iPhone 14 Pro is $999, while the Pro Max variant starts at $1,099. Despite their high price tags, these models are incredibly popular and have outsold the more affordable standard and Plus models, according to various estimates.

Gurman explains that customers currently pay an additional $100 to $200 for the next storage tier, while Apple’s expenses for storage are relatively low. By offering an additional storage option, Apple has the potential to increase its revenue and raise the average selling price without significantly impacting its expenses, as the profit margins on storage are substantial.

By increasing the base storage capacity, Apple can effectively justify a price increase and create the perception that customers are receiving more value for their money.
According to recent reports, the iPhone 15 Pro may also offer an 8GB RAM option alongside the standard 6GB RAM, although this may be dependent on the chosen storage capacity.
The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to introduce several notable changes, including titanium edges, slimmer bezels, upgraded camera lenses, a new 3nm chipset, and the addition of a periscope camera for the iPhone 15 Pro Max variant.
Despite one leaker dismissing these changes as mediocre and advising customers to wait for the iPhone 16 series next year, it seems that millions of consumers are eagerly prepared to purchase the most expensive model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
