Steam Next Fest will feature an exhilarating multiplayer 2D action shooter game called Holy Stick.
Always Too Late, the indie game developer and publisher, has unveiled a free demo for their multiplayer game Holy Stick at Steam Next Fest. This extraordinary game is a hand-drawn 2D multiplayer action title, where 2-8 players engage in chaotic shooter-level madness, blending mechanics from various recognizable titles in the genre into one exceptional experience. You can watch the trailer below and try the demo from June 19th-26th, with the full game releasing on August 18th for PC.
“Forget about health bars, in this game, your body is your ultimate concern! A bullet to the knee might result in losing an entire leg, leaving you to struggle. Losing your hands renders you unable to wield weapons, forcing you to fight with kicks while you heal and swiftly rejoin the action! Customize your stickman with an array of costumes and voices, offering unique personalities. From knights and pirates to soldiers and ninjas, even Italian chefs and French musicians, the choices are endless. Or perhaps an American special forces commando wielding a giant donut sledgehammer, shouting “Bon voyage!” as they crush their foes into the ground?”
“Holy Stick will captivate you for hours with its vast content! Explore a vast arsenal of firearms and melee weapons to dismantle your enemies. Choose from a variety of game modes, immerse yourself in stunning maps, and prepare for the unexpected with the mysterious Craziness System that occasionally alters the game’s rules. Expect reduced gravity, mandatory jumping, inverted gameplay, or explosive shotgun frenzy to keep things exciting! Transport yourself back to the nostalgia of drawing simple characters on the back of your notebook or playing web browser games with stickman characters.”
“Play however you desire! Enjoy a casual match on the couch with friends using splitscreen for up to 4 players. Embrace online multiplayer and revel in the thrill of playing with strangers. Or opt for a hybrid setting, like a 4 vs 4 match with two machines connected over the internet. The only thing we currently lack is a single-player mode.”
