How to Secure Your Personalized Ticket on Instagram for Meta’s Threads Launch Tomorrow

Social media giant Meta has officially announced the release of its latest app, Threads, which aims to compete with Twitter. The app will be unveiled on July 6, 2023. As part of the pre-launch promotion, Instagram is offering custom tickets to its users. Many Instagram users have already shared their tickets through Instagram Stories. If you haven’t gotten your ticket yet, don’t worry. In this article, we will guide you on how to obtain your unique Threads app ticket.

To get your custom Threads ticket on Instagram, simply search for ‘Threads’ within the app. You will immediately see a red ticket icon in the Instagram search bar. Tap on it to proceed.

Upon tapping, you will receive a Willy Wonka-inspired ticket with your name written on it. The ticket also displays the exact date and time of the Threads app launch, which is 7:30 PM on July 6. Additionally, there is a QR code on the ticket that will redirect you to the official Threads website.

The custom ticket can be obtained on both the Android and iOS versions of the Instagram app.

Prior to the official launch, the Threads app briefly appeared on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Some alleged screenshots showcasing the app’s visual design have also been leaked in the past. Here is a sneak peek of what the Threads app may offer:

The upcoming Threads app will primarily focus on text-based conversations. Similar to Twitter’s character limit of 280, Threads is expected to have character restrictions as well. However, the exact character limit has not been disclosed yet.

Furthermore, Threads is anticipated to be a decentralized application, meaning users can engage with other apps while still using Threads simultaneously.

Based on the leaked screenshots, users will be able to log in to Threads using their existing Instagram accounts. Another screenshot reveals that users can select who they want to follow from a list of contacts within the app.

Other details about the Threads app are currently unknown. The app is being developed by Meta as part of Project 92. However, there have been concerns raised about privacy, with some users sharing screenshots on Twitter suggesting that the Threads app might collect user data such as financial information, health and fitness data, purchases, location, contacts, and more.
