HP also introduced an extensive and personalised gaming portfolio, showcasing new products within its OMEN and HyperX brands. The lineup features new laptops, accessories, and software, al promising to enhance gamers’ experience, allowing them to concentrate on their gameplay.
HP introduces Omen Gaming laptop
Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President & Division President of Personal Systems Gaming Solutions at HP Inc., talked about the growing personalisation trend within computing, particularly in the gaming community. She said, “Whether it is your gaming laptop, monitor, or accessory, HP has developed a customisable and personalised solution that can be tailored to your need.”
The company also launched the Omen Transcend 14 Gaming Laptop, catering to those who seek a versatile device for gaming and creative tasks. Crafted with an OLED display, a slim body, and high-grade internals, the brand says that it is the world’s coolest and lightest 14-inch gaming laptop.
In addition to unveiling the HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop, HP has also made the OMEN Transcend 16.1 inch laptop even better by adding a 2.5K OLED display option with 240Hz refresh rate. They’ve also updated the Omen 16.1 inch gaming laptop and Victus 16.1 inch gaming laptop with the latest Intel i7 HX processors.

Key features of the Omen Transcend 14-inch gaming laptop include an immersive IMAX Enhanced Certified 2.8K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, promising to offer both captivating gameplay and suitability for content creation. The laptop introduces a lattice-less sky printed RGB keyboard to extend the vibrant colour experience beyond the screen.
Weighing 1,637 g, the Omen Transcend 14 is designed for on-the-go gaming and claims to offer up to 11.5 hours of battery life and a type-C PD 140W adapter for convenient charging.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel’s Ultra 9 185H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. The laptop promises smooth gaming for users and is said to handle intense tasks quite smoothly. The NPU and OpenVINO plugins for OBS studio contribute to a 24.6% Frames Per Second (FPS) improvement.
For optimal heat dissipation, the laptop utilises a redesigned chassis, incorporating a vapour chamber and Intel’s dual channel flow technology. This thermal innovation promises to make the laptop the world’s coolest 14-inch gaming laptop, achieving 4x higher static pressure with an 80w thermal capability.
The Omen Transcend 14 also introduces local AI capabilities through Intel and Nvidia processors, as well as built-in AI with Otter.ai. These features include live transcript, real-time captions, and AI-generated notes.
In addition to this, the Omen Transcend 14 is reported to be the world’s first gaming laptop with audio tuned by HyperX. The collaboration between HyperX audio experts and OmenTranscend 14 engineers aims to enhance the overall gaming audio experience.
