iQOO to launch Z9 Lite in India on July 15

iQOO, rapidly making a mark for itself in the affordable smartphone segment, will launch the latest smartphone in its Z series, the iQOO Z9 Lite, on July 15, the company’s CEO announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The smartphone is expected to be iQOO’s entry-level device. The company’s latest lineup includes the iQOO 12, priced starting at ₹52,999; Neo9 Pro, priced starting at ₹34,999; Z9 5G, priced starting at ₹19,999; and Z9x, priced starting at ₹14,999, on iQOO’s official website

iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took teasing a “#FullyLoaded5G experience” with an image of the Z9 Lite in a striking blue colour, showcasing a vertical dual rear camera setup.

While no other details about the smartphone or its specifications have been revealed by the company, rumours have it that the Z9 Lite could be a rebranded version of Vivo’s T3 Lite.

If these rumours hold, the iQOO Z9 Lite will likely be priced similarly, with similar specifications. The vivo T3 Lite comes in two variants — the base 4GB + 128GB option will be available for ₹10,499, and the 6GB + 128GB variant for ₹11,499.

The T3 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC processor, built on a 6nm architecture. The device runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.

The phone features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it sports an 8-megapixel front camera housed in a centred waterdrop notch and packs a 5,000mAh battery.
