Jessica Chen, a DC Comics Editor with thirteen years of experience, has recently made a surprising decision to leave the company and explore new ventures.

One can easily see the influence she has had on creators like Ram V, who owes a great deal to her for his current success. Throughout her thirteen-year tenure at DC Comics, she has gained numerous credits across various projects within the company.
Jessica Chen first joined DC Comics in 2010 as a production artist for Wildstorm Studios. In 2011, she transitioned to the role of Digital Production Artist at DC Comics’ Burbank Studios. Eventually, she became an Assistant Editor in 2013, contributing to projects such as Smallville, The Vampire Diaries, Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman: Li’l Gotham, Astro City, Tom Strong, and Wonder Woman ’77, while also taking on full editor responsibilities for Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes.

In 2019, Jessica Chen celebrated a significant milestone in her career when she was promoted to the role of full-time Editor at DC Comics. In a tweet, she expressed her excitement for editing more prestigious books and working with beloved characters, acknowledging the transition from bright Metropolis to broody Gotham.
Despite the challenges faced by DC Comics, Jessica Chen managed to navigate the post-pandemic editorial changes successfully, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the creators she collaborated with. However, it has come to light that she is now departing from the company to pursue new opportunities unrelated to comic books. Sources suggest that she may be venturing into the gaming industry. Regardless, we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors, as her departure is sure to spark discussions at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con.
Neither DC Comics nor Jessica Chen have responded to requests for comment at this time.
