After a ten-year hiatus, Futurama is back with its full original cast and satirical spirit. Season eleven consists of ten new episodes that offer something for both new viewers and long-time fans. The season unravels decade-long mysteries, including the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the history of Robot Santa, and the fate of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. The crew also explores various futuristic themes such as vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.
Originally premiering in 1999, Futurama quickly gained a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim, winning two primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. Despite its futuristic setting, the show offers sharp commentary on present-day life. The series follows the adventures of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy who accidentally gets frozen in 1999 and wakes up in the year 3000. In this futuristic world, he befriends the robot Bender and falls in love with the one-eyed Leela. Together with their colleagues at the Planet Express Delivery Company, they embark on thrilling escapades throughout the universe.
