Sai Kabir’s film Tiku Weds Sheru is making its debut on Prime Video. Produced by Kangana Ranaut, the romantic comedy is receiving mixed reactions from critics and movie enthusiasts. The renowned National Award-winning actor took to her Instagram stories on Friday to respond to the negative reviews received by the Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur-starrer.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, “The movie mafia is doing everything in their power to harm my film, from fake reviews to smear campaigns that started even before its release. Nevertheless, it’s now streaming, so please watch it for yourself or ask your friends and acquaintances who have seen it for their opinion. Don’t rely on paid fake trends or reviews.”

Prior to its release, Tiku Weds Sheru sparked a debate on social media regarding the age difference between Nawazuddin and Avneet. Addressing the age-gap controversy, Kangana stated, “I was 16 when I started in the industry. It’s better to start young if you aspire to have a film career. The problem arises when you’re only used for your youth and given no substantial lines or roles. Whatever the mafia PR is trying to do with this age controversy, please understand that it’s not effective. Instead, why not focus on your own films and watch TWS again.”
In her Instagram stories, Kangana further revealed that the late actor Irrfan Khan and herself were initially considered for TWS, despite having an age gap of over 20 years. She wrote, “Fun facts… The original choices for TWS were Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut, with an age gap of more than 20 years. Ultimately, the film was made with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur, who also have an age gap of more than 20 years.”
