The crème de la crème of the Hindi film industry gathered in Jamnagar, Gujarat, for the extravagant pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Videos of superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and others surfaced online and sent fans into a frenzy. Amid this, actress Kangana Ranaut seems to have taken a dig at celebrities who perform at weddings.
Kangana Ranaut’s post on no-dance at weddings policy
Recently, the actress re-posted an old article on Lata Mangeshkar refusing to perform at weddings, she wrote, “I have been through worse financial setbacks, but Lata ji and I are only two people who have massive hit songs (Fashion ka Jalwa, Ghani Baawli Ho Gayi, London Thumkda, Sadi Galli, Vijay Bhawa etc.) to our credit.”
Kangana continued, “But no matter how many temptations I got I never danced in the weddings, many super hit item songs were also offered to me, soon I avoided award shows also. It takes strong character and dignity to say no to fame and money, in the world of short cuts young generation needs to understand only wealth one can acquire is the wealth of integrity.”
Grand Ambani wedding
It is worth noting that this comes at a time when clips of Bollywood celebs from the grand Ambani gala are doing the rounds on the internet.
At the bash, the three Khan came together for an epic performance. Kareena and Karisma performed with singer Diljit Dosanjh while parents-to-be Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone set the stage on fire with a dance on Gallan Godiyan. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were among the others who grooved at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant and Radhika.
