In addition, the Thunder Edition-optioned Jimnys will also get grip covers finished in tan, along with off-roader dual-stroke finish and a steering wheel with tan leather. All of these upgrades will be the same on both the manual as well as automatic transmission variants of the Jimny. However, the manual transmission variant will miss out on designer mat and graphic designs. The exact pricing for this optional package can be asked at any nearest Maruti Suzuki dealership.

Apart from this, the biggest talking point is that the Jimny is now being offered with a massive Rs 2 lakh discount. Prior to this discount, the Jimny started at a price tag of Rs 12.74. However, with this discount, the price has now come down to Rs 10.74 lakh. Currently, this discount is available with the Jimny base variant, but the Jimny Alpha variant is also being offered with a Rs 1 lakh discount as well.

Jimny five-door exports

It has also been reported that the made-in-India Jimny five-door is now being exported internationally as well. The new Jimny five-door gets exported to a number of right-hand drive as well as left-hand drive markets. Some of the markets for the new five-door made-in-India Jimny include South America, Middle East, and African markets. In India, the company is dispatching around 3,000 units every month.

Powertrain

As mentioned above, the company is only offering exterior and interior upgrades with the Thunder Edition package. There are no mechanical upgrades being offered. All of the variants of the Jimny come powered by the same K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine. Underneath the bonnet of the Jimny, this engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 104 PS and 134.2 Nm of torque. This powertrain comes available with 5-Speed manual and 4-Speed automatic transmission options in both Zeta and Alpha variants.
