Meta And UFC Team To Bring MMA Fights To Horizon Worlds VR

Watching UFC fights on a regular TV or mobile device can be comfortable, but it lacks the immersive experience of virtual reality (VR). Meta has partnered with YBVR to bring fans a unique way to watch fights through their VR headsets. The highlight of this collaboration is the ability for friends to virtually watch fights together, even if they are physically distant. Quest owners can even communicate with each other in real-time within the Xtadium. The success of the initial test sessions in 2022 paved the way for this wider launch.

In Meta’s announcement, YBVR co-founder Sebastian Amengual emphasized the unparalleled experience of being virtually cage-side and feeling the energy of the match. VR viewers can expect a perspective similar to that of the camera operators, providing an authentic and exciting view of the action. Not only that, but Meta’s partnership with YBVR has the potential to open doors for more immersive VR sports experiences in Horizon Worlds in the future. Although specific plans have not been disclosed, this news is certainly promising.
