Motorola Razr 50 India launch teased, more affordable flip phone coming soon

Motorola recently wrapped up the launch of its Moto Razr 50 Ultra smartphone and it is now preparing to bring a more affordable flip phone to India. It seems that Motorola wanted to give a proper limelight to its flagship offering, which is why it has now announced its standard Motorola Razr 50 smartphone a few weeks after the launch of the Ultra version.

Ahead of the event, the company has teased the design and functions of the upcoming phone, although we already know most of its features because the Motorola Razr 50 is already available in China. The teaser reveals that the standard version has a bigger screen compared to the previous Moto Razr 40 version and that people will now be able to do more things on the outer screen without unfolding the screen. The design is seemingly similar to its more expensive sibling, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, but the regular model comes with a slightly smaller outer screen.

In China, the standard Motorola Razr 50 smartphone ships with a 3.6-inch pOLED outer display and a 6.9-inch inner screen that operates on Full HD+ resolution and 3,000nits of peak brightness. There is a dual camera setup on the outer screen and you are greeted with a single sensor when the device is unfolded.

It packs a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and the rear panel has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with support for OIS. This is accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor and features a 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

At the moment, there are no details on the launch date and price of the upcoming Motorola Razr 50. The company has just mentioned that this device is coming soon. To recall, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra was announced in India for Rs 99,999. The standard version is expected to be much cheaper than the Ultra model because the Moto Razr 50 is a toned down version.

In China, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is priced at CNY 5,699, which is around Rs 65,470 in India when converted. The standard, Razr 50, will cost CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 42,496). Just like the Ultra model, the regular Razr 50 version will also cost much higher in India. You can stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the updates.
