NBA 2K24 Reveals Ratings For Top Players And Rookies

Attention NBA 2K fans! It’s that time of year again, and as customary, 2K is gradually unveiling the player ratings for NBA 2K24. The aim is to generate excitement leading up to the game’s release on September 8.

While Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić claims the top spot with a rating of 98, it’s rookie Victor Wembanyama who is sparking the most discussion. As the number 1 pick for the Spurs, Wembanyama received an 84 rating, making it the highest rating a rookie has ever received in NBA 2K history. Prior to Wembanyama, Kyrie Irving and Zion Williamson held the highest rookie ratings with an 81 on their debuts.

In a video revealing his rating, Wembanyama responded, “That’s nice, that’s alright,” but he assured Ronnie 2K that his rating would definitely surpass 90 by the end of the season. Fans have been comparing this high rating to other top players’ rookie years. LeBron James debuted with a 78 rating, while this year’s top player, Nikola Jokić, had a rating of 68 in his rookie season.

Returning to the top spots, Jokić leads this year’s ratings with a 98, followed by five players tied for second place with a shared rating of 96: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and LeBron James.

Additionally, 2K has revealed the rating for WNBA cover star Sabrina Ionescu, who received an overall rating of 90.

Several other rookies have also had their ratings revealed so far. The Hornets’ Brandon Miller and the Trail Blazers’ Scoot Henderson both received a rating of 78.
