New ‘Lego Harry Potter’ game seen on social media, claims report

There have been reports of an exciting new development in the world of Lego Harry Potter. An image promoting the game was briefly seen on the Warner Bros. South Africa Instagram account.

According to Video Games Chronicle, the now-deleted post featured a Lego Minifigure of Harry Potter with the logo of TT Games and a date of August 25. TT Games, known for their Lego games, coincides with the Gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany, which takes place from August 23 to August 27.

Rumors of a Lego Harry Potter game resembling the structure of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga emerged earlier this year. A source from Nintendo Life claimed that this game was taking up the studio’s resources and resulted in the cancellation of a Lego Guardians of the Galaxy game. Additionally, a Lego Disney game was scrapped, and there were concerns regarding the expansion of The Mandalorian DLC for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

While fans had the opportunity to explore Hogwarts in the game Hogwarts Legacy, many still hold fond memories of Lego Harry Potter. The first installment, Years 1-4, was released in 2010 for various platforms. This was followed by Years 5-7 in 2011. The remastered Lego Harry Potter Collection, released in 2018, brought both games to newer consoles. As these games provide a comprehensive and humorous retelling of the films, the potential new game could incorporate content from Fantastic Beasts to attract fans back into the magical world.

In other gaming news, a modder for Baldur’s Gate 3 has unlocked multiclassing in the game’s easiest difficulty level, allowing players to experiment with builds like the Sorcadin.
