Mahindra Thar Armada images have just leaked. The official unveil is due on 15th August and here we have the images of the 5 door version. The new Thar is based on the current Thar in terms of styling. Mahindra is looking at adding more a lot more style and bling to the 5 door. As we can see, the front grille has been changed and it seems to be inspired from the 3 door version of the Thar and even to some extent Armada. That is why might get its name as Thar Armada instead of 5 door Thar.
The other side image shows that the new Thar will get a door latch on the side and it will get a new C pillar styling with a triangular rear quarter glass look. The roof looks like it is a plastic hard top, however as we have seen the Thar with sunroof, this could be a metal hard top. Mahindra is looking to offer the 5 door SUV with a lot more features too.
New Mahindra Thar Armada Interiors
The new spy shots reveal that the Thar gets lighter interiors to make the cabin roomy. From all the leaked images we have seen of the new Thar it will get multiple features. These are sunroof, large 10-inch touchscreen, Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, 360deg camera, ADAS. As the wheelbase is longer – there is more space at the back and even rear AC vents. There will be usage of leatherette upholstery too. Hence, the new Thar 5 door will get the styling that will make it stand out and even the features that won’t disappoint.
Ok, the engines will be 1.5-litre and 2.2-litre diesel ones. There will also be a 2.0-litre petrol engine too. The bigger engines will get automatic options too, while we are expecting only 4×4 on the 2.2-litre diesel manual and automatic options. The new Thar should be unveiled on 15th August, however bookings should start by 2nd October and deliveries by late October.
Mahindra is all set to launch another major product in 2024 after the 3XO. This will help them to attain more sales as well. This will not just get more features but even more power than the Thar. So, are you excited about the new Thar?
