Nothing launched its third smartphone in the market this week –– the Nothing Phone 2a. Along with featuring the signature Nothing transparent design, a glyph interface and the minimalist Nothing OS UI, the smartphone also comes with some power-packed specifications like a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, up to 12 GB RAM and a 5,000 mAh battery. The smartphone comes in three variants, and is priced starting Rs 21,999, including bank offers.

The Nothing Phone 2a comes in three variants in India.
The 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 23,999. And the one with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will cost Rs 25,999. The top variant comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and will be priced at Rs 27,999.
Nothing has also unveiled HDFC Bank credit and debit card offers, providing a discount of Rs 2,000. This offer effectively reduces the starting price of the phone to Rs 21,999 for the base model, while the top-tier variant will be priced at Rs 25,999 for eligible customers.

The Nothing Phone 2a offers a distinctive UI experience that caters well to users invested in the Nothing ecosystem. It provides a sense of exclusivity while maintaining a mostly stock Android interface, a unique feature that sets it apart from other devices.
The Nothing Phone 2a has balanced specifications. Though I didn’t extensively engage in gaming, occasional sessions with Asphalt 9 revealed smooth gameplay, albeit with some battery drainage during extended use.
Despite lacking wireless charging, its 40W wired charging capability swiftly replenished the battery to 50% in just 15-20 minutes.
The Phone 2a features a dual 50-megapixel camera setup on the rear. It captures impressive shots across different lighting conditions. Portrait mode delivers commendable background separation, though colours in images may occasionally appear oversaturated. Despite this, the resulting images are typically vibrant and sharp, perfect for sharing on social media platforms.
