PlayStation 5 Replenishment in India: Pre-Order your PS5 on March 10th

Sony is preparing for a highly-anticipated restock of the PS5 this month. The company has confirmed that the next wave of pre-orders for the current-gen console will go live on Friday, March 10, at 12pm. Pre-bookings are available for the disc-less PS5 Digital Edition, the disc variant equipped with a 4K Blu-ray drive, and a special God of War Ragnarök bundle. In recent times, PS5 restocks in India have been frequent, with two pre-order batches taking place in February. Brick-and-mortar stores have also shown promising stock availability.

It’s important to note that the price increase announced in November is still in effect. The PS5 Digital Edition is now priced at Rs. 44,990, while the standard variant is listed at Rs. 54,990. The God of War Ragnarök bundle, which includes a digital code for the acclaimed game, is priced at Rs. 59,390. Just last month, the latest installment from Santa Monica Studio, God of War Ragnarök, received nine trophies at the prestigious 22nd Annual DICE Awards. PS Plus Deluxe/Premium subscribers can also enjoy a three-hour trial version of the game at no additional cost. This trial period allows players who do not own the game to experience its mechanics. It’s worth noting that all progress and trophies earned during the trial will carry over to the full purchase.

In January, at the CES 2023 event, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan promised that obtaining a PS5 would become easier for gamers after the chip and inventory supply shortages caused by the pandemic. Recent restocking events and the availability of units in stores indicate that his words hold true for the Indian market as well. As of now, the pre-order banners and advertisements can be found on the Sony Center website, Amazon India, GamestheShop, and e2z Store. Based on past restocking events, it is expected that the PS5s will also be available for pre-order on Croma, Flipkart, Gameloot, and Vijay Sales. As always, it is essential to be prepared to secure your PS5 unit promptly as these pre-order events function similarly to flash sales.

The Sony Centre website currently allows users to enter their details to receive notifications when the PS5 pre-orders go live. Gameloot also offers pre-owned and repaired units for sale, all covered by a one-month warranty. However, the Sony Centre website warns customers about possible delays in their services due to curfews and lockdowns in certain regions. There is no information available regarding the shipping start date for these new PS5 pre-orders, but once shipping begins, customers can expect to receive their units within 14 days.

Last month, Sony held a PlayStation State of Play event that showcased Rocksteady Studios’ highly-anticipated game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as well as new games for PS VR2. Currently, Sony India has not provided any details regarding the launch of PS VR2 in the country. The company also announced the new games coming to its PS Plus service in March, including Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein.
