Quordle FAQs: All you need to know

What is Quordle?

Quordle is a word game that presents you with four puzzles to solve, in contrast to Wordle’s single daily challenge. Instead of solving them sequentially, you tackle all four simultaneously. While Wordle allows six guesses, Quordle provides nine. The rules are quite similar, and you can play it online through the Quordle website or via Merriam-Webster’s site since they acquired Quordle last year. The answers for Quordle remain the same for every player globally, making it a global competition. The puzzle resets at midnight, providing a fresh challenge each day. The website also features a practice mode that I highly recommend trying before jumping into the game. Additionally, you can view daily stats, including your streak count. Quordle also offers achievements for completing games in a certain number of turns, playing frequently, or guessing difficult words. And yes, it’s genuinely challenging.

What are the Quordle rules?

The rules of Quordle closely resemble those of Wordle:

1. Green letters indicate the correct letter in the right place.
2. Yellow letters indicate the correct letter in the wrong place.
3. Gray letters indicate incorrect letters.
4. Remember that your guess is reflected across all quadrants of the puzzle, so a letter may appear green in one square, yellow in another, and gray in the rest.
5. Answers are always singular and never plural.
6. Letters can appear more than once, so duplicates are possible.
7. Each guess must be a valid word in Quordle’s dictionary.
8. Subsequent guesses do not need to include any correct letters.
9. There is no equivalent of Wordle’s Hard mode.
10. You have until midnight in your timezone to complete the daily Quordle.

What is a good Quordle strategy?
