Ubisoft has unveiled all the exciting new content that will be coming to Rainbow Six Siege in Year Eight – Season Three: Heavy Mettle, set to arrive on August 29th.
Ubisoft hosted their quarterly livestream for Rainbow Six Siege, showcasing the much-anticipated Year Eight – Season Three: Heavy Mettle. The livestream showcased a plethora of new content that players can expect in this update. One of the major highlights is the introduction of a new operator, Ram, from South Korea. Ram comes equipped with a special auto-breacher gadget, reminiscent of the iconic G.I. Joe characters. In addition, the game will feature a new commendation system, allowing players to acknowledge their teammates’ accomplishments in three key areas. The update will also include several gameplay enhancements, including a rework of the Quick Match mode. The content is scheduled for release on August 29th. Here is a sneak peek at what to expect:
“Operation Heavy Mettle brings the anticipation to new heights with the introduction of Attacker Ram and her BU-GI Auto-Breacher gadget. Ram can wreak havoc by utilizing an automated tank to destroy walls, floors, and other obstacles, providing new strategic advantages. This tank has the power to disrupt opponents’ strategies, neutralizing their gadgets and obliterating soft surfaces. Ram is a one-speed, three-health Operator equipped with either an R4C or LMG-E as a primary weapon and an MK1 or ITA12S as a secondary weapon. In addition, this season introduces the Commendation System, an appreciation system that allows players to rate their fellow players based on their gaming experience. The system will be closely monitored to ensure fairness, and highly commended players will receive rewards. Player protection measures remain a top priority for Rainbow Six Siege, and the anti-toxicity measures have already shown promising results, with 50% of warned players exhibiting improved behavior and avoiding penalties.”
