Gamera made its debut in the 1965 special effects film “Gamera: The Giant Monster” produced by Daiei Film, now Kadokawa. With its unique turtle-like appearance and abilities like flight, fire-breathing, and spinning, Gamera became a fan-favorite and starred in a series of sequels and other films throughout the decades. The franchise consists of a total of 8 Gamera films from the 1960s to the 1980s and a three-part series in the 1990s.
