Let’s start with the exciting details about Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. This game features an all-new special story mode and introduces two unique characters named Nanashi and Merz. Brace yourself for an epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke, culminating in the crisis of the Fifth Great Ninja War.
We also have a brand-new trailer showcasing the special story mode.
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC later this year.
Exciting Footage from Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster
Next up, we have some thrilling gameplay footage from the upcoming Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster. Despite being almost two decades old, the game looks stunning with its new enhancements. Additionally, we have confirmation of exclusive new features for the remaster.
Firstly, players can enjoy increased game and battle speed by up to 300%. There is also a “No Encounters” mode which allows players to avoid battles while playing. Lastly, the new “Instant KO” mode lets players defeat enemies with a single attack.
These features provide a much-appreciated quality of life improvement for those who have previously completed the game.
Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 14.
The Next Chapter: Sword Art Online – Last Recollection
The beloved Sword Art Online franchise continues with its latest installment, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. This game features an original storyline based on the War of the Underworld and introduces high-speed battles in a MMO-like multiplayer environment. Over 40 playable characters, including exciting new original characters, are also part of the roster.

A Sneak Peek at Sand Land
Let’s take a closer look at the gameplay for the upcoming Sand Land, which includes exciting tank combat and the ability to control the Jump Bot.
The game strongly reminds me of the beloved Steambot Chronicles, which is definitely a good thing. Although the segment was brief, we received confirmation of a hands-on demo that will coincide with the worldwide premiere of the Sand Land movie next month.
Sand Land will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While a release date has not been announced yet, based on the limited information, we can anticipate a 2024 launch.
New Game Reveal: Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash
Lastly, we have an exciting new game reveal: Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash. This action-packed arena brawler is based on the popular manga and anime of the same name.
Players will form their own 2v2 team and engage in battles using a wide range of powerful tag-team attacks and combos. Each character combination will have its unique synergies and power dynamics. As players progress through battles, their fighters’ power levels will increase, unlocking stronger attacks.
Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
In conclusion, the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase brought exciting updates and new game announcements for anime-style game enthusiasts. Although some fans, including myself, were hoping for announcements like God Eater 4, Code Vein 2, or even Scarlet Nexus 2, we can always look forward to next year’s event!
