Rumors are circulating that the upcoming iPhone 15 series will receive a remarkable boost, with battery units expected to be up to 18 percent larger than their predecessors.
According to a Foxconn worker who leaked information to ITHome, the 2023 iPhones are set for a substantial battery upgrade, with specific details on unit capacities.
Reportedly, the battery capacities of the upcoming iPhone 15 models will experience a significant increase. The iPhone 15 is expected to feature a 3,877mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Plus will come with a larger 4,912mAh battery.
The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro is projected to have a 3,650mAh battery, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is likely to use an even larger 4,852mAh battery, surpassing the 4,323mAh capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 Pro may see a modest increase of 105mAh in battery capacity. The iPhone 14 saw a slight boost of 52mAh, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max experienced a minor reduction of 29mAh.
Reportedly, the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro could receive a battery upgrade of approximately 14 percent, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max might see a 12 percent increase in battery size. Furthermore, the standard iPhone 15 model could potentially enjoy an 18 percent expansion in battery capacity, according to the leaked information.
In addition, according to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple is developing a new Crimson shade for the iPhone 15 Pro. This new color option is expected to be lighter than the existing purple option available for the iPhone 14 Pro.
In a previous report by the same publication, it was speculated that Apple may introduce a dark red color option for the iPhone 15 Pro.
Regarding the standard iPhone 15, the report mentions the possibility of a new green color variant. The leaked source claims that the upcoming green color for both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will be similar to the green shade found on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11.
