In an intriguing development, it appears that The Borderlands series is set to receive a comprehensive collection called The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora’s Box. This revelation comes from a recent listing by the South Africa ratings board.
The discovery was made by Gematsu, who found The Film and Publication Board of South Africa’s list of classified films and games for April and May 2023. Among the listings was The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora’s Box, with a rating for both PC and consoles on April 21.
This leak also brings attention to another piece of news – the PC rating for Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster on May 11. It is worth noting that while we were already aware of the remaster’s Nintendo Switch release, the PC version had not been previously announced.
As for The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora’s Box, it is speculated to include all previous games in the series, along with additional features. It is likely that the collection will feature the four main games – Borderlands 1-3 and the Pre-Sequel – as well as spinoffs like Tales From the Borderlands and the recent release Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands (although the latter does not take place on Pandora).
It is important to note, however, that this is purely speculation. The series already has collections such as the Borderlands Legendary Collection, which includes the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and the Pre-Sequel. However, it does not include Tales From the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, or Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. There is also the Handsome Collection, which features Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel.
