However, with the recent reboot announcement, Bhuvan Bam is set to take over the commentator’s role. Fans can now catch a glimpse of this exciting development in the newly released teaser, along with the show’s release date.
The teaser opens with a comical scene featuring Bhuvan Bam’s Titu Mama, who humorously refers to himself as a “shoe-stopper” while going about his daily job as a shoe salesman. Suddenly, the Yakuza make an unceremonious entrance into his store and whisk him away. It’s later revealed that Titu Mama owes a debt to the Yakuza, and his only way out is to provide the Hindi commentary for the iconic Japanese game show, Takeshi’s Castle.
The teaser showcases the revival of the original show’s essence, where over 100 contestants eagerly tackle a series of zany challenges, all in pursuit of the coveted one million yen prize money. Bhuvan Bam, albeit under duress from the Yakuza, adds his unique Indian perspective to the show. The upcoming series promises an abundance of entertainment for viewers.
This eight-episode series is scheduled to start streaming on OTT on November 2.
