Tata Motors produced 6 lakh units of the Nexon SUV within seven years of its introduction in 2017, the company has shared on social media.
Tata Nexon is available in two versions: The traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and the electric (EV) range. At a starting price of INR 8.10 lakh for the ICE variant and INR 14.74 lakh for the EV variant (ex-showroom), the Nexon has become a noteworthy player in the Indian market.
The Nexon facelift is offered in four main trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless, each with various sub-variants. The trims cater to different preferences, including those with a sunroof option.
Competing with popular sub-compact SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue, the Tata Nexon has consolidated its position in the segment.

Priced between INR 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom), it is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine delivers 118 bhp and 170 Nm, available with manual and automatic options. The diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 113 bhp and 260 Nm, also offered with manual and automatic transmission options.
