Tata Motors responds as man’s post about Tata Nexon goes viral

Tata Motors has made headlines recently as customers have shared posts complaining about their vehicles that they purchased. Now, another incident has been cited by an X user named Tanmay Raju where he described how a Tata Nexon car malfunctioned in the middle of the road. The company has responded to this complaint as the story has gone viral on social media.

Tanmay Raju took to X to recount the ordeal and express his concerns over the safety of Tata Nexon, a car that boasts a 5-star safety rating.

The car in question belongs to Tanmay Raju’s friend, as mentioned in the post. While describing the issue, Tanmay said that the car skid off the road due to a detached tyre caused by a broken wheel hub.

The vehicle veered into a field as the tyre rolled ahead of it, leaving the occupants shocked but fortunately unharmed. The incident occurred while they were en route from Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi to the Prayagraj airport in Uttar Pradesh to pick up Raju.

“We faced challenges seeking assistance from Tata Motors, who sent two unhelpful individuals with a towing truck. After a prolonged delay of over six hours, they stated that we needed to arrange a hydra to lift the car back onto the road before they would tow it,” he wrote.

Despite the high rating, the failure of such a critical component in a car less than two years old raised serious questions about the reliability of the vehicle and the potential risks to passengers’ lives.

The situation worsened when assistance sought from Tata Motors resulted in further frustration. According to Tanmay, the company dispatched two individuals with a towing truck who were of little help. They informed him that a hydra would be required to lift the car onto the road before towing could commence, leading to an exasperating delay of over six hours.

Stranded in the field for an extensive period of 28 hours, Tanmay’s friends faced a life-threatening scenario, aggravated by Tata Motors’ demand for payment for the tow truck service.

“This incident lasted over 28 hours, and posed a life-threatening situation. Tata Motors should take full responsibility for this caused by part failure,” he added.

Raju’s subsequent actions included hiring a private tow service the next day to transport the car to the Rewa Tata Motors workshop. He shared images of the damaged wheel hub and urging Tata Motors to assume full responsibility for the incident, including refunding the towing costs.

The response from Tata Motors was prompt, with the official page of Tata Motor Cars reaching out to Raju for his contact details to address the issue.
