The Morning After: Motorola’s new Razr is not a good phone

It’s astonishing to me that a smartphone priced over $1,000 is considered midrange, but such is the bizarre world of foldable phones. Our very own Mat Smith reviewed Motorola’s latest Razr model for 2023, a lower-end device compared to the flagship Razr+, and found it lacking in several ways. The performance is subpar, the camera quality is poor, and the cover display is too small to be usable.

In the UK, this handset is selling for around $1,025, and although currency conversions aren’t an exact science, this price is undeniably excessive for Smith. He mentions that if the handset launches in the US and is not priced below $800, it’s not even worth considering. Furthermore, even if it is priced within that range, is the novelty of a folding display really worth the disappointing overall package?

The latest update to their Ricochet anti-cheat system will identify and remove these users from the game, publicly exposing them as cheaters to everyone else.
