However, there are a few hidden secrets to uncover, one of which is the elusive Chicago Typewriter. Serving as a variant of the iconic Tommy gun, this weapon not only packs a punch but also pays homage to other games that featured their own versions of the Chicago Typewriter, such as the Resident Evil series. Step 1 – Obtain the Biome Portal Key
The Biome Portal Key is granted to you by a key non-playable character known as The Keeper. You’ll meet this character after completing the Labyrinth, which is typically the second major area in the game. This key allows you to activate specific portals within the Labyrinth.
Step 2 – Uncover the Hidden Portal
Return to the entrance of the Labyrinth by fast-traveling to the Fractured Ingress World Stone. From there, head east and take the right path at the branching point. Continue along this path until you reach a portal that you likely passed through during your initial playthrough of the Labyrinth. This time, however, carefully make your way around the portal. Look over the edge behind the portal, and you’ll spot a second portal floating in mid-air. Jump into it.
Follow the path ahead, passing through another portal, then immediately turn left. You’ll find yourself in a small area that can actually assist you in defeating the Labyrinth’s boss, as there’s a weak spot you can shoot through a gap in the wall. However, it’s likely that you’ve already defeated the boss. Along the side of this small hideout, there are several blocks against the wall. Use them as platforms to climb up and continue along the path. Make sure to do some light platforming and crouching as necessary. Eventually, you’ll reach a portal that can be unlocked with the Biome Portal Key.
Step 3 – Claim Your Reward!
The portal will transport you back to Ward 13, specifically inside a ship filled with cargo containers. Here, you can acquire the coveted Chicago Typewriter and the Leto Mark II armor set.
