Want to book a car this festive season? Check out these affordable SUVs under Rs 10 lakh

As the festive season gets underway in India, the automotive sector is revving to entice consumers and boost sales. The vibes of Dhanteras and Diwali often encourage people to consider purchasing a new car, thanks to enticing offers. If you are also looking forward to buying an SUV this festive season, here are the five options to consider, including some recently launched models in 2023: Tata Nexon, Tata Punch, Maruti Brezza, Maruti Fronx, and Hyundai Exter.

Tata Nexon has recently unveiled the facelifted version of its best-selling SUV, Nexon. With seating for five, this SUV boasts a 5-star safety rating. It is powered by an 1199-cc petrol engine and comes with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 8.10 lakh.

In the compact SUV segment, Tata Punch stands out as a robust choice. Notably, this vehicle has earned a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. Equipped with a 1199 cc petrol engine and priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.52 lakh, Tata Punch accommodates five passengers and offers a fuel efficiency of 20 killometres per litre.

Maruti Brezza is another noteworthy option to consider, with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 8.29 lakh and the top variant reaching Rs 14.14 lakh. It features a 1462 cc engine, although its safety ratings are not impressive. However, it compensates with an excellent mileage of 25.51 km per litre.

Launched by Maruti in April 2023, Fronx comes with a starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh. It offers customers a 1.0-litre K-Series Turbo Boosterjet engine, along with options such as a 5-speed manual and 6-speed AT with paddle shifters. Additionally, customers can opt for the 1.2-litre dual-jet and dual VVT engines, which are available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AGS transmissions.

Hyundai launched its most affordable micro SUV in July. The starting ex-showroom price for Hyundai Exter is Rs 5.99 lakh, and the top variant is priced at Rs 9.31 lakh. Customers can choose from two petrol engine options, including a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.2-litre petrol and CNG engines.
