2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Comprehensive crash testing
The video released by NASBA, the Japan Automobile Accident Prevention Organisation, shows the series of crash tests the Swift had to undergo starting from advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), front, side and rear collisions and pedestrian protection. The Swift scored 177.80 points out of 197 and managed 81 per cent in collision safety performance.
The crash tests were done at various speeds from 55 kmph to 64 kmph. The full-wrap frontal collision was done at 55 kmph where the driver’s seat was awarded 4 out of 5 starts while the front passenger side received full marks. The offset frontal collision test took place at 64 kmph where the rear seat scored 3 stars, the lowest in the complete test while the driver’s seat got 4 starts.

The Swift topped the charts at rear collision neck protection for both the driver’s and rear seats. In the case of pedestrian protection, the Swift fared well scoring 4 and 5 stars for head and leg protection respectively.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: ADAS scores 99%
