At the state dinner held at the White House in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nita Ambani looked as radiant as ever wearing an ivory-gold saree

On June 22, 2023, Nita Mukesh Ambani and her husband Mukesh Ambani graced the State Dinner at the White House. Nita Mukesh Ambani exuded a striking aura of ethnic charm and grace while adorning an exquisite ivory saree. The momentous occasion, which paid tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Nita Ambani made an appearance at the banquet donning the timeless traditional Indian attire, a graceful saree. The entrepreneur, educator, and philanthropist chose an ivory saree adorned with opulent golden accents that extended along its length and breadth, complemented by a lavish golden border. She paired the saree with a matching top, completing the ensemble with finesse.

The splendid saree worn by Nita Ambani was extensively showcased on the official Instagram page of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre. The post raved, “Our Founder & Chairperson, Mrs. Nita Ambani, was dressed in an exquisite handwoven Banarasi brocade from the sacred land of Varanasi for the State dinner hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden in honor of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Banarasi brocade tells the tale of culture and splendor that is passed down generations. This beautiful weave, handcrafted by traditional Indian artisans Mohammad Yasin and Jabbar Ahmad, is a tribute to the craftsmanship of Banaras and took them over a month to complete.

Mrs. Nita Ambani’s choice of attire, which aims to promote Indian artisans, was also showcased at the State lunch co-hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris. For this event, she wore an ethnic Patola saree from Patan, Gujarat. The Patola saree represents a contemporary interpretation of India’s centuries-old craft. Woven in pure Indian silk by skilled traditional artisans Dushyant Parmar and Vipur Parmar, this beautiful weave took 6 months of painstaking effort to achieve perfection. Both these art forms are supported by Reliance Foundation’s SWADESH, which celebrates the art and crafts integral to India’s cultural legacy. #Swadesh.”

Nita Ambani flawlessly showcased the saree look, which perfectly blended regal style with Indian handcraft industry. The intricate golden thread work, the lustrous fabric, and the elegant silhouette complemented each other harmoniously, while the soothing and delicate color scheme added to the overall charm.
