Pikmin HD Gets Surprise Re-release on Nintendo Switch
In a surprising announcement during a June 2023 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has re-released the beloved classics Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 in HD on the Switch. This is exciting news for fans and a great opportunity to experience the series before the release of the latest iteration on July 21. While the 3DS sequel/spinoff Hey! Pikmin remains unavailable on the Switch, there is hope that Nintendo will eventually port it over.
Also released this week is Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, a game that our own CJ Andriessen thoroughly enjoyed. With the addition of a Super Meat Boy puzzle spinoff (Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine), the Nintendo eShop offers a diverse selection of games to suit every taste. It’s an exciting week for Nintendo fans, with something for everyone to enjoy.
