Preview: Australia Takes on New Zealand in an Intense Women’s Test: Wallaroos vs Black Ferns

New Wallaroos playmaker Carys Dallinger is set to face a challenging and emotional Test against her birth country, New Zealand, in Brisbane on Thursday night. Dallinger, who is eligible to play for Australia due to her father’s nationality, previously played for the Hurricanes before joining the Reds in Super W. The 23-year-old made her Test debut in May against Fiji but competing against the reigning world champions, the Black Ferns, will be a much tougher test. New Zealand co-captain Kennedy Simon expressed surprise at seeing Dallinger in the lineup but acknowledged her talent and determination. Simon expects the entire team to mark Dallinger when she has possession. The Wallaroos, led by interim captain Michaela Leonard in the absence of injured skipper Piper Duck, have yet to secure a victory against New Zealand in 23 attempts. Their last encounter ended in a 41-17 defeat for Australia at Eden Park. However, the Wallaroos are hopeful that they can finally overcome the Black Ferns and showcase their improvement in this match. Both teams are eager to give it their all and come out on top.
