UN Secretary-General António Guterres said, “Equipping young people with quality education, training, and skills is essential. In 2014, the United Nations recognized the growing importance of skills worldwide as it moved towards a more sustainable development model. To address obstacles to skills and competencies by lowering barriers to employment, the United Nations designated July 15 as World Youth Skills Day. The United Nations and its organizations seek to ensure the recognition and accreditation of the skills of young people worldwide.
