Player Ratings: Cadiz 0 – 3 Real Madrid; 2023 La Liga

Full match player ratings below:

Andriy Lunin—8.5: Another solid game between the sticks for the Ukrainian. Had two major saves to deny Cadiz and maintain a clean sheet. Overall his distribution was quick and clean, only a few nervy moments.

Dani Carvajal—7: Kept Chris Ramos quiet all evening. Bombed up and down the flank and oftentimes acted as the team’s right winger.

Toni Rudiger—7: Another consistent performance where Rudiger dominates his mark and shows he has fully adapted to this Real Madrid team and the right center back position in a back four.

Nacho—7: Stepped-in to give Alaba rest and did not miss a beat. Roger Marti is a pesky forward but Nacho never allowed him out of sight.

Ferland Mendy—5: Drew a yellow card after some poor 1 v 1 defending vs Zaldua which resulted in a nutmeg on the Frenchman. Contributed little offensively.

Toni Kroos—7: Played in a double pivot with Fede Valverde. Lost track of his mark inside the box on two occasions, but otherwise put in a strong shift with 138 touches, 112/123 passes, 9/11 long balls, 3/3 ground duels won.

Fede Valverde—8: Played in an uncustomary double-pivot alongside Kroos yet still produced another fantastic performance. Worked tirelessly on both sides of the ball and was involved in the build-up for Rodrygo’s second goal.

Luka Modric—7: The 38-year-old was positioned on the right side of a midfield four and had the freedom to interchange as an advanced #8, a deeper interior, or a wide midfielder.

Jude Bellingham—8.5: The Englishman continues to break records and now has 14 goals in 15 games as a Real Madrid player, surpassing both Di Stefano and Cristiano in that record. Aside from his goal, worked hard defensively and constantly provided outlets with his off-ball movement offensively.

Joselu—5.5: Misunderstanding with Rodrygo mean the Spaniard missed an easy tap-in to add to his goal tally. Had some good combination play with Bellingham.

Rodrygo—10: Two goals that promoted the Brazilian’s individual quality plus an assist on Jude Bellingham’s third goal to cap a superb performance.

Substitutions:

Dani Ceballos—6: Played both as a left and right midfielder during his 20 minutes on the pitch, will be a welcome return to the rotation.

Lucas Vazquez—N/A: Played on the right of midfield to provide additional defensive solidity.

Gonzalo Garcia—N/A: With the team 3-0 up, young Gonzalo had the opportunity to make his Real Madrid debut, a day he will never forget.

Nico Paz—N/A: Late substitution with the game already won.

Fran Garcia—N/A: Late substitution with the game already won.
