Adipurush Row: The makers of the highly anticipated film, Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, have been facing criticism for its VFX and dialogues. Adipurush, a modern retelling of the epic Ramayana, initially received a tremendous response from the audience. However, it soon became embroiled in controversies and faced backlash, resulting in a significant decline in its Box Office performance. To address this issue, T-Series, the production company behind Adipurush, recently announced that viewers can now enjoy the movie at a discounted price of Rs 150. Furthermore, the latest update reveals that the ticket prices have been further reduced to Rs 112, starting from Monday (June 26). The official Instagram handle of T-Series shared the news along with the tagline stating that Adipurush will be screened with edited and modified dialogues.
After facing extensive trolling and criticism on social media, the makers of Adipurush made changes to the dialogues that had sparked outrage among the audience. Director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir even received death threats from the Kshatriya Karni Sena during a press conference in Madhya Pradesh. The original dialogues, such as “Kapada tere baap ka toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki” and “Tu andar kaise ghusa… tu jaanta bhi hai kaun hoon main,” have now been altered to “Kapda teri Lanka ka… toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka” and “Tum andar kaise ghuse… tum jaante bhi ho kaun hoon main,” respectively.
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush is a 2023 Bollywood movie based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayan. Alongside the lead pair, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage also play important roles in the film. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Goddess Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan. The film beautifully portrays the virtues of Lord Ram, which include Dharma, Courage, and Sacrifice, as reflected in its elegant poster. Adipurush has faced several postponements and controversies over the course of its two-year journey.
