In an Instagram post, Anil Kapoor reflected, “Today marks the completion of 40 years of my journey as an actor and entertainer… 40 years of garnering acceptance, love, and blessings from my amazing audience! They say time flies when you’re doing something you’re passionate about… hence, it feels like just a blink of an eye since four decades have passed! This is where I belong, what I’m meant to do, and who I’m destined to be. Numerous individuals have contributed to my success, but I want to express my sincere gratitude to the late Bapu saab, my brother @boney.kapoor, and my father Surinder Kapoor for believing in me and giving me my first opportunity in #Woh7Din… I’m also deeply grateful to @naseeruddin49 & @padminikolhapure for their generosity in embracing a new talent. Their stardom allowed me to shine brighter than I ever imagined. I owe everything I am today to these legends, as well as the love and acceptance I have received from each and every one of you. To commemorate these 40 glorious years, I will be presenting two very special projects: The Night Manager Part 2 and Animal. I hope you will continue to shower me with love and support, just like you always have.”
