Apple Could Shrink The Screen Size Of The iPhone 17 Plus Model Next Year: Here’s Why

The iPhone 17 Plus appears to deviate from the trend of increasing screen sizes, with rumours suggesting that the device will launch after the release of the iPhone 16 series in late 2024. Historically, Apple has maintained consistency by aligning the display proportions of Plus models with the more expensive Pro Max variants. For instance, both the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus featured 6.7-inch screens, matching the size of their respective Pro Max counterparts.

Reportedly, Apple might be aiming to enhance the distinguishability of its models by altering the screen sizes across its lineup. According to DigiTimes, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Apple’s main chip supplier, stated that it will begin producing 2nm CPUs by the end of this year; referring to past rumours regarding the iPhone 17 series. In addition, a large-scale production of the processors is anticipated by 2025. The iPhone 17 Pro may be among the first few handsets to use these chips, according to claims that surfaced following TSMC’s announcement.
