Arshad Warsi recalls his first meeting with Jaya Bachchan, admitting he was prepared to be fired
Arshad Warsi’s performance as Dhananjay Rajput in Asur 2 has garnered him immense praise, an achievement he is truly grateful for. During a recent interview, the talented actor shared the story of how he landed his debut film Tere Mere Sapne, produced by Amitabh Bachchan’s production company.

According to Warsi, director Joy Augustine offered him the film and informed him that the production house wanted to see his pictures.

Arshad Warsi, in a moment of vulnerability, confided in Joy about his doubts regarding his acting skills and even admitted that he felt he couldn’t act. He expressed his fear of being pitied by others and emphasized that he came to pursue acting with a determination not to be known as a failure in the industry.

Later, to Warsi’s surprise, he received a call from Jaya Bachchan. Worried that he might be fired, he also considered it an honor to be dismissed by Amitabh Bachchan’s wife. However, Jaya Bachchan only asked if he could speak in Hindi, to which he nervously replied in English. She then revealed that he had been selected for the role.
