Best Buy has recently introduced a revamped version of its membership program in order to compete with other retailer subscription services like Amazon Prime and Walmart Plus.
We have taken into account what our customers have expressed as their top priorities when it comes to technology and membership. This includes perks such as exclusive access to deals and member-only prices. We have utilized this feedback to develop our three-tiered system, which includes fantastic benefits and enhanced flexibility.
Patrick McGinnis, Senior Vice President at Best Buy
My Best Buy Memberships are now available in three tiers, with prices ranging from free to $179.99 per year. Each tier offers its own set of advantages and benefits, including exclusive offers with even deeper discounts during the upcoming 4th of July sales event.
If you were already a member of Best Buy’s Totaltech program, you should have received an email about the relaunch. Starting June 27, you will be automatically moved to the highest tier in the new membership program until your current renewal date.
Explaining the Tiers of My Best Buy Membership

My Best Buy is the entry-level membership option, which builds upon the existing plan. It is completely free and includes free standard shipping on all orders, with no minimum spend requirement.

The highest tier is My Best Buy Total, which costs $179.99 per year. This tier includes all the benefits of the previous tiers, as well as additional perks like protection plans such as AppleCare Plus, 24/7 tech support, VIP member support, and 20% off repairs.
“These three tiers create the ultimate membership experience for our customers,” wrote Patrick McGinnis, Senior Vice President of Memberships at Best Buy.
My Best Buy and the 4th of July Sales
The launch of Best Buy’s new membership program coincides with the start of the retailer’s 4th of July sales on June 30. Similar to the exclusive deals offered during Amazon Prime Day, there will be a variety of exclusive offers available for members in the My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total tiers.
While not all deals have been announced, Best Buy has provided a sneak peek. Highlights include an extra $50 off an HP Victus i5 gaming laptop (total savings of $300), an additional $30 off the LG 48-inch A2 OLED TV (total savings of $730), and $100 off the iPad Air.
You can view all the Best Buy members-only deals by visiting our website and stay tuned for more updates in the coming days.
Whether you are a member or not, you can find all the top offers available starting this Friday on our main Best Buy 4th of July sales hub.
