The Game Discovery Exhibition (GDX) has returned to Edmonton for its eighth edition, showcasing the latest and greatest in the gaming world.
Hosted by Interactive Arts Alberta (IAA), GDX offers a unique combination of a major conference and an exciting exhibition. The conference, which will take place on July 19th and 20th at the renowned Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, will feature panels, workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities. Industry experts such as Trent Oster from Beamdog (known for his work on “Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition”), Christopher Chancey from Manavoid Entertainment (“Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan”), and Cristina Amaya (former director of DreamHack Americas) will be in attendance.
While the conference caters to professionals in the industry, gaming enthusiasts can participate in the exhibition at the Edmonton EXPO Centre from July 21st to 23rd. This exhibition is part of Edmonton’s K-Days celebration and is Canada’s largest indie games festival, showcasing over 20 studios. Attendees can immerse themselves in a diverse range of games, including traditional games, AR/VR experiences, and even escape rooms.
