The Collaboration of Game Developers and CBS Eye Animation Productions: Among Us Animated Show
CBS Eye Animation Productions has joined forces with Innersloth, the renowned studio behind Among Us, to create an exciting animated TV series that revolves around the beloved pandemic-era pastime.
According to a report by Variety, Among Us will have Owen Dennis, known for his work on Infinity Train, take on the role of creator and co-executive producer. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, and Antonio Canobbio of Innersloth will also serve as co-executive producers. The series will stay true to the game’s original premise.
Described as, “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone,” the logline of the show sets the stage for the thrilling adventures that lay ahead. Viewers will need to uncover the ‘Impostor’ or risk becoming its next victim.
Taking charge of the animation will be Titmouse, the renowned studio responsible for notable works such as Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Ben Kalina from Titmouse will also have a role as co-executive producer.
While the networks or streaming platforms interested in the project are yet to be announced, it’s expected that they will emerge soon. With the support of The Animation Guild rather than the WGA, the show’s production is unlikely to be affected by the ongoing WGA strike.
