Detailed Update 6 for PC and Consoles: Rescuing the Surviving Star Wars Jedi – Patch Addresses Crashes and More

EA and Respawn have released a comprehensive update for Star Wars Jedi Survivor version 6, which is now available for PC and consoles. This update brings a variety of fixes and improvements to the game.

Rolling out later today, the patch includes fixes for bounty hunting progression, an invisible Caij issue, and a fix for the “Find the Gorge’s Secret” rumor that couldn’t be completed. Additionally, the update includes collision improvements, improved blaster handling, various fixes for the in-game photo mode (detailed information not provided), and several crash fixes. As usual for patches, update 6 also includes unspecified bug fixes and improvements. The official release notes for this update can be found here, as released by the development team and EA.

The development team has assured players that more patches are on the way to further enhance the game’s performance on PC and consoles. More details about these upcoming updates will be shared closer to their release. “We appreciate your ongoing support as we continue to work hard to enhance your Star Wars Jedi: Survivor experience,” the team writes. “We will provide updates on future patches as soon as they are available.”

Star Wars Jedi Survivor was launched in April of this year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the game has faced performance issues, especially on PC, multiple updates have been released to address these problems, leading to improved performance. The game has also been selling well. Following its successful launch, Walt Disney, the owner of the Star Wars IP, expressed enthusiasm for the game’s potential in the gaming industry.

Last month, Walt Disney Chairman Josh D’Amaro commented, “We recently launched a new game called Star Wars Jedi Survivor. I’m personally excited to try out these new games when they come out. The game has received high ratings and is considered one of the best Star Wars games in 20 years. So far, it has been performing well for us. As the world evolves and more gamers spend time with their consoles and online, we see a tremendous opportunity in this space.”

Here’s an excerpt from our launch review of the game:

“At launch, the main drawback in fully enjoying Star Wars Jedi Survivor is the performance on PlayStation 5 and other platforms,” we noted. “There are frequent stutters when entering new areas, and traversal through the Koboh landscape can feel sluggish, even in PS5’s Performance Mode. Another notable issue is navigation within the environment, where platforms and traversal points are subtly marked in white, providing players with a rough idea of where to go next without spoon-feeding them with every detail.”
