In the team’s latest developer livestream, associate game director Joe Piepiora stated, “We definitely hear everybody about this. We are talking a lot about what we need to do with this. We’ve got solid plans in place to improve the situation.”
However, the desired changes may not be implemented immediately as the team intends to prioritize getting it right rather than rushing into action. Piepiora added, “We’re moving really, really quickly on this, and we’re trying to provide more space in the future. We’re figuring out the best approach to achieve that. There are various ways to address this issue, and we’re actively exploring them. Some of them pose technical challenges that require more time and effort.”

According to general manager Rod Fergusson, it might take a bit longer as the development team aims to ensure stability and robustness before rolling out the changes. Fergusson stated, “One mistake some people make is this idea that development time is only about implementation. It also involves testing and ensuring robustness and stability.”
Diablo 4’s Season of the Malignant is scheduled to commence on July 20. The season introduces new threats, a self-contained story, and fresh customization options for players. During the Season of the Malignant, encountering an elite monster may result in the appearance of a malignant version of that monster, equipped with unique powers and peculiar tentacles.
