Exoprimal Announces Post-Launch Roadmap, Exciting Collaborations with Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter

During the live stream of the Exoprimal Showcase, Game Director Takuro Hiraoka revealed exciting details about the game’s post-launch plan.

Firstly, Hiraoka-san introduced the Final Mission Selection feature, which allows players to participate in three different queues: PvP (Player versus Player), PvE (Player versus Environment), and random. PvP matches involve direct clashes between two teams of Exofighters. On the other hand, PvE missions prioritize speed, and the team that completes all objectives first wins. The random matchmaking option provides a bonus experience for those seeking a more adventurous experience in either queue.

The Exoprimal Game Director then proceeded to discuss the post-launch roadmap. The first season, which begins on launch day, introduces the new mode called Savage Gauntlet starting July 28th. Hiraoka-san advises players to upgrade their Exosuits and familiarize themselves with their usage before attempting this cooperative mode. Savage Gauntlet challenges teams of five players with late-game PvE missions that rotate weekly. Players can replay these missions to achieve higher rankings and earn greater rewards.

The first Title Update is scheduled for August 16th and will bring ten Alpha variant Exosuits to the game. These variants offer unique weapons compared to the standard Exosuits. Here are the details:

  • Deadeye Alpha: Burst Fire
  • Zephyr Alpha: Dragon Energy Chakram
  • Barrage Alpha: Rocket Launcher
  • Vigilant Alpha: Semi-Automatic Marksman Rifle
  • Roadblock Alpha: Deployable Fortress Shield
  • Krieger Alpha: Chargeable Shotgun
  • Murasame Alpha: Frost Glaive (its counter freezes enemies)
  • Witchdoctor Alpha: Duality Beam (heals allies and harms foes simultaneously)
  • Skywave Alpha: Lightning Thunderclap
  • Nimbus Alpha: Double-Barrel Shotguns

Season 2 is expected to commence in mid-October and will bring a collaboration between Street Fighter 6 and Exoprimal. CAPCOM will also introduce new rigs, modules, a new final mission, and a new Ocean Platform map.

Season 3 is planned for January 2024, featuring Title Update 3, which will introduce Beta variant Exosuits and a formidable new enemy, the Neo Triceratops. Additionally, CAPCOM plans to collaborate with its Monster Hunter franchise during this season.

As a reminder, Exoprimal will be released on Friday, July 14th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X. It will be available on the Game Pass subscription service from day one.

Although cross-play functionality is initially limited, CAPCOM has assured players that they will explore options to expand it.
