Ileana D’Cruz, currently expecting her first child, recently addressed a fan’s question about her concerns regarding weight gain on Instagram. During a “Ask Me Anything” session on Friday, the actress interacted with her fans and followers, providing insights into her pregnancy journey.
A fan asked her, “Are you worried about gaining weight?” To which she responded, “Initially, this question used to trigger me. It’s because so many people comment on your weight when you’re pregnant. It doesn’t help that you have to be weighed during your doctor checkups, so it’s constantly on your mind. But I have to say, I’ve loved how my body has changed in these past few months.”
“It’s a miraculous, wondrous, and humbling journey. And yes, there are days when I don’t feel great because I’m human. However, I have an amazing support system and people who love me and remind me that I am creating a little human inside me! So, ‘weight’ doesn’t matter. Don’t focus on the ‘ideal amount of weight gain’ during pregnancy. Stay as happy and healthy as you can and listen to your body. Do what feels right for you,” she added.
A fan also asked her if she would be in “Barfi 2”, to which she said, “Wow, I never thought about that. ‘Barfi’ was and will always be so special to me. And what would make it even more special is if we had the opportunity to come together and create another film and story just as special – I would love that.”
Ileana starred in the 2012 romantic comedy-drama “Barfi” with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The film was directed by Anurag Basu.
