Improved Performance Across the Board in Latest Yuzu Nintendo Switch Emulator Build

A brand new version of the Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator is now available for download, bringing significant enhancements to overall performance and making playing Switch games on PC an even better experience.

The Early Access build 3709, which was recently made available online, introduces changes to the OpenGL API that result in a 2% increase in performance across all games. Unfortunately, there are no changes made to the Vulkan API, so users relying on this API for Switch game emulation will not see any improvement in performance. Additionally, this new build includes a local memory warmup shader specifically designed for NVIDIA GPUs, which should further enhance emulation. Reports suggest that the new build also resolves an issue with Persona 5 Royal.

As with all Early Access builds, the Yuzu Early Access 3709 build is exclusively available to Patreon subscribers. The changes made in this build will be implemented in the public build within the next few days. In recent days, improving performance seems to be a major focus for the Yuzu development team. A recent update released last week already brought performance enhancements to CPU-bottlenecked games, resulting in an even better emulation experience across a range of titles.

For more information on the Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator, you can visit their official website. The latest version of the emulator’s public build can also be downloaded from there.
