Three members of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad will be available for selection in the last three T20Is against Zimbabwe, which are set to take place in Harare on July 10, 13, and 14.
Shubman Gill-led Indian men’s cricket team bounced back from a shocking defeat in the first T20I against Zimbabwe to get the better of Sikandar Raza & Co. by 100 runs in the second T20I played at Harare Sports Club on Sunday (July 7). The win in the second match helped India level the series 1-1, and the young Indian team will now look to keep the winning momentum and emerge victorious in the remaining three matches as well to seal the series on away soil.
After failing to chase down the target of 116 runs in the first match, Indian batters posted a total of 234 runs on the board in the second match, which in the end proved to be enough. For the last three T20Is against Zimbabwe, the visitors will be boosted by the return of three members of India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning team, who, after celebrating the title win with fans in Mumbai on July 4, boarded a flight to Harare.
Their addition will boost India’s batting, but at the same time, it will also give the Indian team management a selection headache.

IN: Young opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, wicketkeeper Sanju Samson, and all-rounder Shivam Dube are back in the Indian team for the last three T20Is against Zimbabwe, which will be played at Harare Sports Club on July 10, 13, and 14, respectively. The trio was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024 title in the West Indies and the USA last month. They missed the first two T20Is against Zimbabwe due to Team India’s delayed arrival from the West Indies after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa in Barbados on June 29.
OUT: B Sai Sudharsan, who made his T20I debut for India on Sunday (July 7) during the second T20I but didn’t get a chance to bat, will return home along with KKR pacer Harshit Rana and Punjab Kings wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. The trio was named in the Indian squad for the first two matches only.
